The groups for the 2025 Ice Hockey World Championship, set to take place in Sweden and Denmark, have been announced. Sweden will face tough competition, including matches against Finland and Canada. The tournament will see games played in both Stockholm and Herning, with the finals taking place at the iconic Globen arena.

The group stage setup for the 2025 Ice Hockey World Championship, to be held in Sweden and Denmark, has now been confirmed. In just over a year, the Ice Hockey World Championship will take place in Stockholm, Sweden. One group will play there while the other competes in Herning, Denmark.

The group compositions have now been finalized. Canada will go up against both Finland and Sweden in the group that will be played at the Globen-Arena. These three nations are considered favorites, but several other teams will also pose challenges, notably Slovakia, Austria, and Latvia.

Group A, Stockholm

Austria, Canada, Finland, France, Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden.

Group B, Herning

Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Norway, Switzerland and the USA.

Two of the quarterfinals will be played in Stockholm and two in Herning. Both semifinals, as well as the bronze medal game and the final, will then take place at the Globen.
