Tip: Can Seattle Kraken extend their point streak when they visit the Buffalo Sabres?

Wennberg
Seattle Kraken really have momentum at the moment and come with six straight wins behind them as they visit KeyBank Center Wednesday night. Buffalo has also looked lively lately with a couple of important wins, and the upcoming match is highly interesting!

I wrote a few lines about the Seattle Kraken as recently as last week when they were visited by the Ottawa Senators in their latest match. Kraken didn't disappoint and delivered a stable performance, ending in a 4-1 victory with goals including one by Andre Burakovsky who was back from injury. Buffalo has found some momentum after defeating the Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins, so we have an exciting match to take a closer look at!

Rested and Complete

After the match against the Ottawa Senators, the Seattle Kraken have had plenty of rest and have not played a single game. This is suitable for a team that is now embarking on a six-game away tour, starting with tonight's match against the Buffalo Sabres. Even better, it looks like Jaden Schwartz will be back in the squad. The veteran forward has scored 8 goals and 7 assists this season and is important for Seattle with his experience. He also contributes to making the Seattle Kraken almost fully staffed. His colleague Andre Burakovsky, who also recently returned after a long injury, scored an important 3-0 goal against the Ottawa Senators.

With the victory against the Ottawa Senators, Seattle Kraken are now up to six straight wins, but even more impressive is perhaps that the team has earned points in ten consecutive games. Thanks to the fine form, Kraken is for the first time since the beginning of the season back in the playoff discussion. If they can bring a good amount of points from the six-game away trip, they are definitely in a good position for the second half of the season. Seattle is also a team that tends to be skilled at capitalizing on momentum, and Buffalo will face a tough challenge.

Important Wins for Buffalo Sabres

It has not been a fun season for the Buffalo Sabres. Currently, the team is third from last in the Eastern Conference with 38 points after 40 rounds. This is far from the expectations the team had for itself after the strong finish last season. Despite this, the Sabres have managed to rally and have made a couple of solid performances lately. For example, they come from victories against the Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins. However, it remains to be seen if Buffalo can build on the last two wins and again make a strong second half of the season. Like Settle, Buffalo has a good injury situation, with Jordan Greenway being the only one at risk of missing the match of the players available against Pittsburgh.

Something we have not really seen proof of is the freewheeling offense that Buffalo showed during much of last season. For the Sabres, it is difficult to win matches when the offense is not as effective as before. The problem is mainly that the previously fine offense has been able to compensate for the defensive weaknesses the team has. They continue to allow plenty of chances defensively and even if Buffalo's goalkeepers are not bad, they are also not sufficient to cover up for the defensive problems like elite goalkeepers in the league sometimes can.

Betting Tips and Conclusion

Seattle Kraken - Buffalo Sabres

Tuesday 02:00, NHL

Seattle is on a real heater with six straight wins and points in the last ten matches. Form is one thing, but above all, they have played very attractive hockey that has only looked better and better as they have gotten players back from injuries. I have long pointed out how fine Kraken's forward depth is and with Jaden Schwartz back along with Andre Burakovsky and Tomas Tatar who were recently recruited, the situation looks better than at any point this season. Buffalo, for their part, is coming from a couple of victories and the squad is stable even with them. It's not an easy match for Kraken to just earn points on routine, but the feeling is that it's their match to lose and I don't think they will. Seattle Kraken is usually very good at exposing defensively weaker teams that have difficulty shutting down Kraken's all chains that can be on a roll and constantly have offensive threats on the ice. The conclusion I come to is that I want to play Seattle Kraken.
